i've fixed my tach. found some random three way switch and it showed something like real rpm. i've tested with a rpm limiter and it shows correct rpms. fuckyeah  :P

then changed my driveshaft bearing, becuase the old one was slightly fucked. i used skyline r32 bearing which is the same.

old vs new

and we had a local drift garage opening and i had to test if my car can do a 2nd gear burnout. yeap, it works:

the signal is 5V square wave so i need to make a signal multiplier with a rate 0,66 to make less impulses to the tach.
how a resistor can help me on that?

i got rid of standard s13 exhaust, because i got some hesitation and misfire at 5k rpms (tach shows 5k, but really it is something like 3k, ca18 tach shows 1,5x more rpms). now my exhaust is like 50cm in length, but hesitation and misfire is still here. can't really do anything, it stops revving at ~3-5k rpm. i can rev more on idle, but its really annoying.
my friend will do a proper video when i'll fix the hesitation problem  :)

so i finished all bullshit with my water pump, everything was running again.
i fabricated some fmic piping, got it tig welded and leak tested:

got a massive 16 inch fan on my stock ca18 rad, mounted with my ghetto fabrication zip tie mounts:

its about ~1cm of area between cooling fan and the engine, so it's a tight fit.

and i got a local technical inspection sticker, something like uk MOT certificate that shows that car technical condition is acceptable. i had to drive 150km to my hometown to get that because i'm in some kind of blacklist so i had no chance to get tech inspection cert in a big city. my tach shows ~1,5x more rpms and speedo does not work, so after 120-140kmh cruise with a welded stock 45mm s13 exhaust my water temps went way up so i had to stop for a cool down. that's when my friends totally randomly stopped by and sourced some water for a rad refill. top chaps!

so now i'll have to cut the stock s13 exhaust off to help the engine breathe. it does not go on boost and hesitates when i hit wot. stock exhaust is SO restrictive, fuck that.

also previous owner used water instead of antifreeze, so engine is full of brown oxides and other crap. i need to clean in with running water or whatever. one of the main bugs is the prop shaft bearing. something got fucked up and i have slight vibrations when starting in 1st gear, hopefully i can solve this before it blows my tranny seals.

what software do you use for calculating the weight and gravity center for your car?

driveshaft finished. i just love the new tube. also the welding is incredible.

s15 throttle cable, modified and shortened by 32mm.

had to chop and weld water outlet pipe so i can use ca18 rad, because there is too little space to use stock jz intake manifold and sr radiator.

car is getting some serious attention after moving to a new bigger garage. i've fitted a custom driveshaft made by local driveshaft shop, it uses stock middle bearing. shifter sits in stock sbody position so you can't see anything "wrong" from outside, a total sleeper. i like it. i'll post some pictures after a while, because i don't own a decent camera.
also i had to run oil press and oil temp gauges from left side of the car (lhd drivers side) because of different oil filter location on jz engines.
i've bought this gauge and it didn't have an adapter so i had to fabricate it myself.

thanks for your support  :)

i have sold my ca18 engine, box and exhaust. body will be prepared for jz swap in few days.
my turbo kit is up for sale http://sxoc.ee/forum/index.php?topic=205.msg1206
give me a shout if anyone will be interested. also i have lots of standard ca18 parts, so if you need anything - let me know.

i'll try to post some pics of work that i was doing over the weekend. meanwhile my daily drive sunny gti broke one brake line so it will need new brake and fuel lines, so it will take few days to sort it out. i hate working on fail wheel drive shit box cars while my jz is waiting for a swap, lol  ;D

Hello,

I'm selling my turbo kit from my engine:

Cometic MLS (multi layered steel) gaskets (head to manifold)
China tubular manifold (heat treated before using, all surfaces refurbished)
Garrett T25G, low mileage, from JDM redtop engine
HKS adjustable actuator
Braided oil feed and water feed/drain hoses
OEM nissan MLS (manifold to turbo) gasket
OEM nissan turbo locking plates
OEM nissan MLS (turbo to elbow) gasket
China 3" turbo elbow (heat treated before using, all surfaces refurbished)

Everything is assembled with all new wurth studs and copper plated nuts (these can be only used once). All nuts are sprayed with high temperature resitant paint.

This kit is the best you can get for reasonable amount of money for good responsive 250hp on ca18 engine. I mean it spooled like on stock T25 and produced nice usable power to the revlimiter. I could spin 3rd gear with 3,9:1 diff on R16 205/50 tires.

I will take some pictures later.
Everything is located in Vilnius, Lithuania.
Can ship worldwide, local pick up is available.

Price 350eur + shipping.
